After postponing the conference due to the Worldwide Health Emergency of COVID-19, the “Spanish Conference on Nanophotonics – Conferencia Española de Nanofotónica (CEN)” will be online from the 20th to the 22nd of September of 2021.
CEN2021 conference aspires to address a wide range of topics related to nanophotonics, metamaterials, and subwavelength optics. Currently, Nanophotonics is highly interdisciplinary tackling the control, manipulation, and exploitation of light at nanoscale involving experts from areas as Physics, Engineering, Chemistry, and Biology. This CEN2021 conference aspires to reflect this multidisciplinary approach through special sessions devoted to emerging fields of research such as Quantum Nanophotonics, Biomimetics, Nanophotonics applications on Medicine, Chiral, and Topological Structures or Energy Harvesting among others.
CEN2021 will be online but following the spirit initiated by the first five editions of the Spanish Nanophotonics Conference held respectively in Tarragona (2008), Segovia (2010), Carmona-Sevilla (2012), Santander (2014), Valencia (2016), and Donostia (2018). The Conference aims to gather all the groups carrying out research in Nanophotonics in Spain (as well as somewhere else with interest in the research in Nanophotonics performed here). It intends to spread the research results achieved by all the different Spanish groups and to promote the establishment or reinforcement of contacts between them, as a means to help the community to become more visible and dynamic.
The Conference will be organized in thematic sessions composed of plenaries and invited talks as well as, contributed scientific communications (oral and flash talks). For a wider diffusion, contributions must be in English.
CEN2021 will follow the OSA Anti-harassment Policy and Code of Conduct.
